\n
But before we jump in, I need your input ↓
\n
To deliver the best quality newsletter for you, let me know which format you prefer.
\n
This very email is the example of what I call the \"new format\".
\n
\n\nWhich type of newsletter do you prefer to receive?

🔕 What I learned during my time off \n
Last month, I took 3-weeks off to go back to France.
\n
I spent some time with my family and friends and spen the last week in London with my boyfriend.
\n
Needless to say that I was long due for a vacation 🏖
\n
\n
During that time, I barely did any work!
\n
Maybe 2 hours of email replies here and there.
\n
That's it!
\n
\n
But because I had planned everything and had systems in place,
\n
I was still able to make a full-time income while barely working 2-3 days in June.
\n
(→ If you want to know how, this is what I teach in my course MusiCreator .)
\n
\n
That being said, today I want to share some of the thoughts I had during my time-off and what I learned from it:
\n
\n
→ Clarity 👀
\n
Being away allowed me to gain more clarity on everything I do with my music business.
\n
It allowed me to get a different perspective on the bigger picture.
\n
What I do, for whom, and what are my next goals...
\n
I'm quite excited for the rest of the year!
\n
\n
→ Passion ❤️
\n
Since my burnout, I was struggling to find my passion and drive again for creating both music and videos.
\n
It hit me hard.
\n
But after being away for more than 3 weeks, I started catching myself thinking about videos, thinking about melodies...
\n
It's good to feel that again and I can't wait to start experimenting again with new ideas!
\n
\n
→ Balance ⚖️
\n
As you probably know, I had a big balance problem before.
\n
It was one of the reason why I ended up with a burnout at the end of 2023.
\n
While being away, I almost didn't want to come back!
\n
Which was definitely new to me!
\n
For the first time, I was able to completely disconnect from my work, think about other things and most importantly, enjoy doing other things.
\n
It taught me the importance of setting boundaries for myself such as no work after 6pm or in the weekends.
\n
\n
→ Quiet time 🤫
\n
Last but not least, I needed the quiet time more than I thought.
\n
I love my community, there is no doubt about it!
\n
But the expectations, attention and judgment that comes with it has been really hard for me to deal with lately.
\n
Not having to check one comment or message while I was away was a breathe of fresh air.
\n
\n
\n
\n
One of my past MusiCreator student, Nick , is a talented music creator that shares a lot of knowledge about mixing and mastering.
\n
He recently created a free mastering checklist that I wanted to share with you.
\n
If you are intimidated about mastering, don't be.
\n
Mastering is NOT complicated, and he's debunking a lot of myths in this guide ↓
\n
\n
By spending just 1 hour learning about it, you could save yourself hundreds of dollars!!!
\n
So do yourself a favour and download this mastering guide 😉
\n
\n
\n
This one was sent to me by Lost Sense , a member of our community.
\n
He discovered that Armada University has a completely FREE masterclass for EDM production, done by Matoma .
\n
\n
It contains 8 videos, each going from 45-55 minutes, covering everything from:
\n
\nmusic theory \nlayering \ntrack arrangement \nvocals \nmixing and mastering \n \n
The series offers some incredible music production insights that could educate and benefit producers of all levels, from beginners to intermediates and experts.

💿 The new Spotify update (for Canadians) \n
Good news!!
\n
Spotify's Showcase feature is now available in Canada!
\n
\n
Showcase is a mobile banner that sits at the top of Home – the most visited place on Spotify.
\n
You can use Showcase to promote new and catalog releases in order to build your fanbase.
\n
If you want to use it, just visit your Spotify For Artists profile!
\n
\n
🎶 Hopes Up High \n
This is my latest \"On Repeat\" song of the week! Blanks has just released his latest single, just in time for summer! ☀️
\n
Featuring a cute ukelele sound, it gives me energy, good vibes and is so catchy to sing along and have a good day!
\n
\n
\n
💌 That's it for today! If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to reply to this email and I will do my best to help you out!
\n
Keep learning,
